Dean VanElderen is an aspiring fiction author from southwest Michigan. He holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and has been working in that field for the past five years. When not writing or reading, he enjoys spending time biking, skiing, playing tennis, and spending time with his husky, Doug.
Dean has always been an avid reader of sciene fiction, fantasy, mysteries, and a scattering of other genres. It was not until spring of 2022 that he began writing a book of his own. A few years, and a number of setbacks, later, The Forgotten Village was published in July of 2025.
He continues to write in his free time, and is working on a sequel to his debut novel, as well as another project that he is excited to announce soon.
